PDSC Talent Night 20th March 2010 (also known as "lack of talent night")

A very large crowd enjoyed a very funny and ugly night. The night began with a pasta meal served up by our Sabrette's.

The line up in the talent night was just as our Commodore and Vice Commodore predicted, quite a lot of untalented people but never the less very enjoyable and funny.

The Sabres had two acts, five Sabre sailors presented the “Life of Brian” skit and the Sabrette's aka “Pussycat Hags” performed Don't Cha from the Pussycat Dolls

The “Life of Brian” performance was very good performing their act entirely live with accompaniment from Terry “Sugar Bowl” Allen on guitar and the other guys singing along. The only downside to their act was when President Brian looked like he was about to lose his nappy!!! Not a good look!!!

The “Pussycat Hags” were certainly ugly!! Their costumes were very frumpy and definitely bad!!! Positioning of cushions and balloons were very well placed as well as their make up. But a good laugh was had by all particularly when Vice Commodore “Kylie Minnow” said “you think that's funny, that is what they wear each Saturday down at the Club”

Valentines Day BBQ Sunday 14th February 2010

The Valentines Day BBQ Lunch at PDSC was very successful and well attended.

The balcony was themed and setup looked terrific. A million dollar view added to a magnificent way to spend Valentine's Day. A full BBQ buffetlunch was provided. A very special thank you to all the Sabrette's for all their hard work in organising a very enjoyable day.

2009 Sunsmart Go Sailing Day - Sunday 8th November 2009

SunSmart Go Sailing Day in now in its 9th year and is organised by Yachting WA with support from the Cancer Council of WA. Sailing and yacht clubs around WA devote their club, boats and instructors to give people of all ages, with little or no experience a chance to experience the joys of sailing for free.

The Perth Dinghy Sailing Club is participating and the Sabre Sailing Association of WA will be participating. Come down and enjoy the fun!

Quiz Night - Friday 13th November 2009

The Sabre Sailing Association of WA is supporting the International 14s Quiz Night at the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club. The event is raise money for the International 14s WA World Title Team.

Christmas Treat - Saturday - 19th December 2009

Take your family down to the PDSC for the Christmas Treat. After the last race of the season, bring down a picnic tea and enjoy the festivities, Father Christmas will also make an appearance.

Barbecue Lunch Sabre Event - PDSC - Sunday 14th February 2010

All Sabre Sailors are welcome to come down on Valentines Day to the PDSC and enjoy a barbecue lunch on the yacht club balcony. Bring your family and your food to enjoy, the PDSC bar will be open to purchase drinks. Watch the 14ft Skiffs from the balcony after lunch.

Labour Day Long Weekend 2010 - South West Championships 27 - 29 February 2010

The Bunbury long weekend championships will be a fun filled weekend. Sabre Sailors book a cabin or campsite at Koombana Bay Caravan Club across the road from the yacht club and join in on the fun.

PDSC Talent Night - Saturday 20th March 2010

Perth Dinghy Sailing Club is bringing back the Talent Night, each sailing section will be performing on the night. The Sabres WA performance is sure to be a winner!!
