Fixing dings on the trailing edge of a centreboard

Postby Andrew G on Mon Feb 06, 2006 9:02 pm

One of those jobs that I really hate doing - applying fibreglass to cracks in the trailing edge of a centreboard. Invariably it takes 3 or 4 batches of resin with sanding in between to get close to a smooth finish. I use duct tape to create a form of mould - but it usually goes soggy before the glass has cured. I need to be really bored before embarking on this task....

Is there a quick way - ?

I use either plastibond or even aruldite. Overfill and then just sand back and polish.
