Two new boats were christened at PDSC Opening Day Rob Depiazzi (Mum's the Word III) and Ian James (Double Trouble) and Louis (The Fly) Suriano from East Fremantle Yacht Club made a guest's appearance.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind for Shelley Yacht Club Opening Day, the bad weather is becoming a regular with last years weather also not very good.

It was a struggle to launch the boats of the beach at the start with the large waves breaking in 20 – 30 knots of winds and rain. Only two boats finished Rob Depiazzi and Ray Martin. Ray finished first after Rob Depiazzi capsized metres from the finish line.

A great day was had at Mounts Bay Sailing Club's Opening Day on the 2nd October 2010.

15 knot winds made for perfect race conditions. Congratulations to Ray Martin who won first place, followed by Brian Jones in second place and Terry Allen in third. Promotion of the Sabre was also very sucessful with a lot of interest shown for the boat and class.

The below photos were taken at the Opening Day.
