For the first time, Sabres have been accepted as an invited class in Yachting World Cup Finals racing at St Kilda, Melbourne, www.sailingworldcupmelbourne.com. The invitation was strongly supported by our Nationals venue, Black Rock Yacht Club, Victorian Sabre Committee and by Yachting Victoria.
As well as being a great opportunity to showcase Sabres, one of the most popular single handed dinghies in Australia, it provides an ideal run up to the Sabre Nationals, 28 December 2016 – 3 January 2017 at Black Rock.
A further regatta at Black Rock is ‘Go for Gold’ to be held 26,27 November 2016. Details will be available on BRYC website.
Sabres have a particularly strong participation of sailing women and girls as seen by them taking out the top three places at the recent Albert SC regatta in Melbourne.
We are expecting a strong fleet of Sabres to battle it out over three days, 9-11 December 2016. Let’s get behind it!
