2025 North Sails Winter Nationals Report

07 September 2025
I would like to extend a big thanks to all who made the effort to enter the North Sails Winter Nationals, along the very generous support from North Sails

I believe we can claim to have held a genuine Winter National Title this year with representation from South Australia, Victoria, New South Whales and Queensland.

Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club turned on a high-quality regatta, as is their norm.

We experienced winds from a couple of knots in the first race on the Friday to winds over 20 knots on Saturday then reducing on Sunday, but still sufficient to be hiking hard all day.

Nine races were completed with 2 drops giving 7 races to count.

This regatta was part of the Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club season opener called the All-Boats regatta, as a means of reducing the entry cost.

Chris Pritchard (SA) won the regatta by 1 point from James Grevie (QLD) who won from Chris last year.
