The 47th Riley Sabre National Titles will be held on Lake Cootharaba, from 5 to 10 January 2026.

Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club has a long history of hosting both national and state titles, and currently has an experienced national accredited Race officer in Warren Myles.

The original Sabre nationals was held at Lake Cootharaba in 1979.

If people want to see who is coming, they need to login to Australian Sailing, and then they can view who is going.

This is because entry is limited to people with current financial membership to AS.

The Boreen Point Campgrounds is now open for bookings for this period.  click here

This campground is within walking distance of the Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club.

I have been informed that the amenities are first class.

For those who want to go upmarket camping they could try the Habit Eco resort at Elanda Point, which is 3 kilometres away – click here

There is limited motel, houses and Airbnb available at Boreen Point, with lots of accommodation located in the Tewantin / Noosa area. I recommend you book early as this is a popular holiday resort.
