Happy New Year to everyone, hope you had fun seeing the old one out and the new one in, and that it will be a year of good health, wealth and happiness and a successful year of sailing.

Heats 1, 2 & 3 yesterday were sailed in ESE winds 10 to 15 knots, a couple of rain squalls came through at the start of the first race and winds did vary in speed and direction during the 3 heats, there was some very close racing throughout the fleet in all races and some very tactical finishes especially amongst the top 10, if you check out the results on the RQ microsite you will see by the times that there was no room for error. Well done to Peter Hackett leading in the overall places with Craig McPhee 2nd and Christopher Dance 3rd.

Three more heats to be sailed on Wednesday at 12.00 hours, E to SE winds 10-15 knots have been predicted so should be a good day on the water.
