mast leaks

I capsized my boat for the first time on Saturday and my supposedly sealed mast promptly filled up with water, my boat turned turtle and was impossible for me to get up by myself. I don’t want to buy a new mast as it will cost more than my boat, do you have any suggestions for me???

You could try…..

Removing your mast head plug and fill the mast with fresh water from the top (stand the top of the mast as high as possible) and see where it leaks?

Before that maybe inspect all rivets to make sure none are obviously loose or leaking?
