Many thanks to all of you. Armed with those ideas I’m sure towel rail and boom will become inseparable!

You mention that the towel rail should be bolted to the boom. From the photo it looks like the bolts come through from inside the boom, and each nut is screwed on from the outside. This might be a silly question, but how do you get each bolt through the hole from inside the boom, especially the forward one? And how do you secure the bolt heads while screwing on the nut?

We are also going to Hobart (from Melbourne) – we are contributing two sailors and two spectators!

We believe there is a new caravan park near the airport, and because it’s new it might not be fully booked. It has cabins.

Peter, could it have been Ian Kemp? I’ve just noticed his name as the owner at the time the a-class certificate was issued. The writing on the sticker is very faint but I can just make it out.

Mike, you mention that the Mackay trolley requires improvement to the beds. But how do you change them? Do you have to replace the beds completely? And how do you get the curve right? My guess is that you have to make a template somehow (cardboard?). Any tips on how to do it?

Thanks everyone for your info. You might be pleased to know the boat is still in quite good condition and sailing well (as well as I can sail it, that is…) at Hampton
